Christina Foitou was born in Athens. She studied education at the University of Padova, Italy and then attended the School of Fine Arts in Venice where she got her first degree in painting with honors in 1999. Upon her return to Greece she worked as an art instructor in primary and secondary education, both private and public. She has designed sets for children and teenager theatrical performances. In 2011 she was selected to participate in the Biennial of Young Mediterranean Artists in Thessaloniki, Greece. Her work is part of private and public art collections in Greece and abroad. Her first one person exhibition opened at Mylonoyannis Gallery in Chania, August 2012. She has been living and working in Chania, Crete since 2007.
